I wasn't sure about using professional movers for my recent residential move, but it turned out to be the smoothest move I've ever made. In the past, I've always dreaded moving. Not only is there so much work to be done with packing, lifting and unpacking, there's also a lot of stress. This time, my move was on a tight time schedule, and there was no way I could do it on my own. The movers ensured my move was seamless, and made it practically stress free.

I honestly wasn't sure a professional removalist would even be interested in my move. I only had a small apartment, and was only moving from South Brisbane out to Belmont. Every vase, lamp and piece of wall decor was wrapped carefully, and each item was sorted on the truck by room. They even wrapped all of the furniture, keeping it clean and safe during the move. It seemed like a lot of work for a move that was less than 12 kilo meters, but it was worth it because I knew all of my belongings would arrive at my new apartment safely.

Their speed was astounding, too. They moved much faster than we could have without their help. They arrived at the scheduled time, and a little more than three hours later, the movers had moved all of my things from my first floor apartment in South Brisbane into my new third floor apartment in Belmont. This included disassembling furniture, packing all of the items, taking them to the new place, carrying them up three flights of stairs, reassembling furniture, and unpacking everything. Perhaps even more impressive, they knew Brisbane well, and even helped me find my way to the new place when I was lost!

I didn't know when I would be moving until about a week before the move. I was able to get a crew of movers the day I needed them, and on short notice. Better yet, my final cost was the exact amount they had quoted me.

I had heard horror stories of friends who were charged 70 per cent over their initial quote, or even more. With these movers, I wasn't charged extra for the three flights of steep stairs, or for booking the appointment only five days before. Of course, the horror stories made me particular about which company I choose, and I researched the company and read online reviews before choosing them.
