Feeling at home and working at the Hanoi social club

My story with the Hanoi social club

It is the coffee shop where I felt home and at the same time I could work the most effectively.

It was in February of 2016 when I came back Vietnam for Chinese New Year. I stayed in a hostel in the downtown of Hanoi. I couldn’t imagine how thankful I was to meet up with a great gang. There was one big guy in the gang suggested us to go for a burger in a coffee shop named “The Hanoi Social club”. I would never think it became the place that I came for working every week.

We walked from our hotel in Bat Dan Street to the Hanoi Social club. It was the first time for all of us so we felt lost a bit. We finally made it to the Hanoi social club which is located in a small alley named Hoi Vu.

We felt in love with the coffee shop as we walked inside it. We just chose a table in the first floor, I actually didn’t know it has 3 floors. I felt still special even if it has only 1 floor. My friends wanted to eat burger and drink egg coffee but they informed that eggs ran out of.

He was totally disappointed because he expected for long time so he said “Can I go to get the eggs and you help me to make it”.

“Sorry, we cannot do it but you can come back another day”, the lovely waitress said.

My friend tried to convince the coffee shop to make it for her, so they said even they made it but it wouldn’t be the same with the eggs they bought outside.

We had a wonderful meal together in the Hanoi social club. Before leaving, I went to the toilet and found the 2ndfloor where the toilet located so cool.

One day I was talking with Jess about which coffee shop to go for working. She told me she went to the Hanoi social club even it is quite expensive. She could get the cheapest one to stay there with 35,000VND. I just went to the coffee to work and felt in love with it.

I went to different places but I only felt working at the Hanoi Social club as lots of people do.
