Blog: Fabulous Frankfurt, Breathtaking Berlin
Tags: General

Hello dear friends & travellers out there,

It's a short blog about a short Frankfurt experience. A three day experience that i hardly made out of nowhere. It was a visit to Berlin, primarily for professional purpose. Flown into Frankfurt and the city was asking me, can the work be delayed for a while ?. I just couldn't leave the city soon. So there I was, rescheduling my plans to experience the Frankfurt city for some days. No pre-plans or itinerary for the city but i was so bought into the idea of some wandering Frankfurt days, i just didn't cared much about my inner question "What's next ?". And hence my days went like this.

FIRST DAY

I just slept !

Yes, you read it right. I felt the need to rest my travel tired body & mind more than anything. So i found a stay in an average priced hotel that i could find that's not very far from the Frankfurt airport called  B&B hotel frankfurt-niederrad. Needless to say that the stay was nice. The area was quite calm and noise free as well.

(This was 2 years ago, so a decent upward updation in price is expected)

SECOND DAY

After a good fisrt day rest, it was time to make a plan & hit the streets. I grabbed some informations from the front desk of my hotel & started my day. So first things first, when in Frankfurt as a tourist, it'll be handy to buy a tourism product called The Frankfurt card ( I would recommend it, if you're a group of 5 people. In that case, a group card is available ) which will give you 'some discounts' (as they say !) on several things. I'll leave a picture to do the talking on that.

(Again, it's a 2 year old price)

Anyway, those discounts didn't intrigued me much so i opted to stay card free. As per the valuble informations from the kind front office staff of my hotel, i went for a walk towards the beautiful Museumsufer, which is most famous for it's amazing collection of magnificent museums. Museum of Ancient Sculpture, Icon Museum, Film Museum, Städel art museum are some of the amazing museums that i can point out. In which, Städel art museum stood out for me. If you're into histoty & arts or related matters, i recommend you to check out some of these.

After finishings those museums, it was already evening. But i found extreme pleasure to take a rest alongside the river banks near to the Städel art museum. The place was so beautiful & amazing that, i just wanted to rest there & do nothing else. And that was my day.

THIRD DAY

It was all about the Frankfurt sight seeing bus tour. You can find the buses almost every half an hour. The trip was good to explore a bit more about the city. Payed something like 15 euros, then. Worthwhile i can say !. I'll not go into much details rather want you to experience it on your own, if you're into such city tours.

Fabulous Frankfurt

And that was the end of my Frankfurt days. I've not listed much about the cost of lot of things because it would be irrelevant at this point, considering the 2 years gap & only left something enough for you to get that from a Google search.

The time was limited for me in Frankfurt but i did had a nice time in the city. So, there i was packing my backpack for the Berlin journey. Will give you an elaborated Berlin experience next time. Until then.. take care & happy journey.
