Leaving Elazig..

I woke up Friday early in the morning as i was expecting the new girl to arrive in Elazig and take my place at the Erasmus office, she is from my same university and Romanian as well, for sure i spoke about her in my previous posts so i don't want to make her more important that she deserves.. woke up around 6 and half, gor dressed quick, my luggage were almost ready as i packed them from the day before so there was not big deal to do just wait her to arrive, welcome her and then get going to the office for my last hours. As she arrived around 8 we spoke a bit and then i headed to the office to spend my last 4 hours of my 7 months Erasmus internship. Time passed super fast as i waited anxious for 12 o'clock time to come. Muhammet came early at the office to join me for the last moments. My coordinator Mr. Sedat Sunter came around 11:30 AM so i had a small conversation with him, thanked him for everything and i was ready to leave. Said farewell to everybody else in the office and i left...!

I went with Muhammet to the small shop near by to grab some breakfast before heading home and finish the last things before departure. I ate for the last time my favorite cheese toast and then we headed up to ''our apartment'' for the past 3 months straight. We packed the last things and chilled a bit in the bed before heading out. It was around 3 PM when we decided to leave early and go downtown to eat something and walk for a bit before our 12 hours long bus drive. Said and done, we said our goodbyes to Mihaela and Petru and went to the bus station to wait for no. 5 which will takes us straight to center. My feelings were mixed, i was feeling happy of course because i am leaving this city which i kind off hated but on the other hand my future is a bit unclear meaning that i don't know where i am heading in life. We arrived in center, left our luggage at the bus company and decided to go eat one last shawarma in this city, as they say the shawarma here is very famous ( seriously i do no consider this at all, i am eating way better in Trabzon ), just saying...

Day 1

Five came and we walked a bit and then decided to go and just sit and wait at the ''Star Diyarbakir '' company until the car service will drive us until the bus station. When we arrived to the station we grabbed quick something for the road and we waited the bus to come, with half an hour delay the bus finally came and 8 o'clock we left from Elazig. I have spend many hours and money going this route of Elazig - Trabzon since last year. One ticket is 60 TL ( 20 euro) one way and is about 12 hours time. I cannot say i am used to this road because is so damn exhausting and i am that type of person that for no reason i can rest in a bus or car. So i struggled all night to try catch some sleep, around 7 AM we finally arrived in Trabzon, took a cab and came to our rented apartment which me and Muhammet share here in Trabzon.

Day 1

I have my flight to Romania in 2nd October and on the 30th September we will fly to Istanbul so we will spend a weekend gateway there. I am excited about this trip because is always super fun to visit Istanbul and his sights, by the way i need to start doing my list with the things i want to visit once there. Last time i was there it was end of January so it was super cold ( make sure to check my post about Istanbul in Experiences ) but i still got to visit some places. But this time around i bet will be better. So until 30th i am staying in Trabzon and i will do some traveling as well to Sumela Monastery ( i am going to write all about it ) i guess next week and also to other sights around the city. Last year i wanted badly to visit Sumela but when i decided to go they closed it for one year for renovation, so they just reopen it this September so i am all in and waiting for it.

As we arrived home i barely open my bags and went straight to bed in trying to rest for a while. It was unfortunately i couldn't get any minutes of sleep so instead i decided to go out for a walk around the city and catch a breakfast. The city hasn't changed too much in this 3 months but it was nice the walk and i was surprised how how was here as well. On my weather app at least 10 degrees was showing more low than Elazig but it was God damn hot. We stopped to our favorite restaurant and terrace which is near our house ''Soho Green '' and ordered brunch.

Day 1

Love the Turkish style of breakfast and brunches, they bring you so many plates then you really do not know what to eat and is so much you can never finish it anyhow. I ate but not so much as i cannot in the morning though. After brunch we went to Carrefour to buy some groceries and cleaning products because our apartment was a completely mess and super dusty. We share this a 2 bedroom apartment with another guy from the same class as Muhammet and he is not so clean to say at least. Now thanks God he is not here at the moment but he will return in October. So in my day 1 in Trabzon i spend all my time cleaning the entire apartment, washing and getting everything nice and clean again. But in the night we we went out for something sweet in my favorite pancake place.

Day 1

Day 1

I got my own personalized pancake and that's how you eat a pancake...

Today

I woke up today early in the morning for no reason, around 8 AM and Muhammet he left to visit his parents in the countryside for the Qurban feast which i spoke about in my previous post. As he will spend around 3 days there i will be home alone here, but don't worry cleaning is keeping me busy as well all day today. As soon as he left i became cleaning again, i just took a break now in order to write this post and let everybody know that i am safe and sound ''home '' and as i promised this post is coming back at you live from Trabzon the city at the Black sea. O my future posts i promise you guys more pictures from the city, more tips of what to do here and more ideas of spending your free time. Plus Sumela Monastery post which will come soon, so make sure to stay tune with this new blog ''Life after Erasmus '' into my daily activities.

See you later

Now i gotta go and finish cleaning but last night i want to tell you guys i saw a super cool movie ''The shallows'' with Blake Lively and it was amazing especially if you are into shark movies as me. And for later today i have a book which is waiting for me '' How to be Parisian... " which i will read and write a book review after that, i heard this book is super amazing, fashion, lifestyle and love so i am curious of how it is!

Day 1

So see you guys probably tomorrow with a new daily post and i will write a review of this book plus other more surprises coming your way.

Happy Sunday to everyone!
