Continue to write about travelling by bus

I've just seen that my first post earned me some points. It's encouraging, so I decide to write a little more for today.

Some people may say that travelling by train is as cheap as by bus. Yeah, it is, but just in some places. If you often travel in the UK or France, you'll find train tickets expensive. In the UK, if you plan ahead and buy a train ticket many days prior to your trip, then you may get a cheap ticket, otherwise, it's probably not the case. For example, if one day you wake up in the morning and then decide to travel by train on the evening of the same day, you'll probably end up finding the ticket price five times higher than usual. In France, no matter when you book the train ticket, it's always expensive. You can hardly find a train ticket for a trip between two French cities cheaper than a bus ticket for the same trip.

But, indeed, travelling by bus can be torture. It takes much longer time than by train or air. Therefore, I suggest everyone who takes a bus trip longer than 8 hours bring a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs with you. I know that you never expect your sleep on the bus to be a good one, but at least a pillow and two earplugs can help you have a better rest. I also suggest you pass water before you get on the bus because every toilet on the bus is awful. Yes, every one of them. I've never seen a clean enough bus toilet. Additionally, remember to tell the bus driver to turn on the radiator or turn down the heat or turn on the air conditioner, etc. if you need it. Sometimes the driver just forgets to turn on the radiator even though the temperature's freezing. You don't deserve to be frozen, do you?

Still, sometimes a bus trip can save your time. Rail strikes take place in Europe from time to time, right? Your train can be delayed for several hours or even be cancelled. And your flights are more susceptible to delays and cancellations, aren't they? But I haven't come across a serious delay for a bus trip so far, nor have I ever seen a bus trip cancelled. In this regard, travelling by bus doesn't consume too much time or torture you a lot.

Let's call it a day. Next time I'll talk about hostels and cheap hotels in Europe.
