I am thankful to know about Bac Tom because he is one of our company's partners. I admired the owner of the business and I believe everyone should pay a visit to one of his supermarkets, and it would be even better if you buy products when you go there.

Stories behind the name

- The novel “Bac Tom Hut’ (of Harriet Beecher Stowe) impressed Mr.Chien because of Bac Tom characteristics. He wanted to name the stores with the names like the criteria of the products he wants to sell: the heart and effort of producers.

- The name Bac Tom represents 3T in Vietnamese Trung thuc – Trung thanh – Tan tuy (Honest-Loyalty-Devoted). He wants everyone think about Bac Tom with the loyalty of sellers, the devoted of services as Bac Tom in the novel.

History

- The owner is Mr. Chien who finished his master at Van Hall Larenstein University in the Netherlands. He used to work as an agricultural specialist for GRET and CIAT then he quite the job to start his own business despite the disagreements of his family especially his wife

- At the first 2 years, he couldn’t sell his products but he never gave up

I could see the fire of happiness in his eyes. “In spite of loss, I still believed in a nice future because more and more people loved my products.”
