Good in the early days we walked and we all walked all day, I discovered that Lisbon is situated on seven hills, we live on one of them, so every day I had to go down (which was not bad) but the back had to climb. I tried another every day going back hoping to find a more affordable way to climb but nothing, no matter where you go all climb (just live on a hill, is it?). One day I was pretty tired out and so we decided to go to Subway. I did not know where we are, I was just an idea, I knew the station closest to us and a map that you get from a gentleman with a day or two ago. Um I did not say it was not the first time I did not know where we are, but lucky locals who helped us to get home, the gentleman who gave us the map even preferred to delay the meeting he had and returned home to bring us new map, so we've come home. Back to the subway, I went and ...... I had no idea how to get tickets and how to get any after 2 minutes a gentleman came to us and started to explain how and in what way to reach desired station, showed us what kind of cards to buy, and gave us a map of the metro network, perfect us was very helpful that map, too bad we lost the map after 2 weeks. Enough time to learn to ride the metro in Lisbon.

If you buy first trip ticket you have to pay extra value card that you can use the subway, bus and even train, but you must be careful how one uses if one day go by bus and subway you can load it with 5 euro and 24 hours poto subway and bus use, but watch that same day if you go by train you can not, you need another card, so if you know you're going to train you load onto the card just the ticket that ilfolosesti and so, when you get to the train load, or memory card must be empty otherwise pay for a new card, there is option to pay directly to the driver (that the bus) but is more expensive 0.50 cents to the price of normal variant that we use now is a 40 euro subscription that allows us to go by metro, bus and train tranvaiul conclusion if you stay more than a month so you can buy a subscription.
