Hey

I bring some recommendationsforapps for your Erasmus in Sofia.

1.Moovit

This is one of the most useful that you can not only use in Sofia but everywhere (or almost everywhere) in the world. Basically, you write where you want to go: street, monument ... and gives you public transport routes (bus, metro, tram ... all available) with their schedules and tracking GPS, if you make a mistake to stop or bus, will give you alternative routes to get there anyway.

I use it every day, whether I want to go to the uni or IKEA or decathlon or to Paradise Center. If I've made a mistake with her and I've lost her once or twice, without her I would not have even gone to uni. I will also use it in the future when I go on a trip, in it I have found even the buses in my city and that it has been impossible for me to know when they were passing by.

2. TaxiMe and Taxistars

Both are apps to ask for a taxi, they are extremely easy to use. I recommend having both because they get you out of a bind if one does not connect with a driver.

First you say where you want to be picked up, by GPS you will go directly where you are but if you want you can choose to pick you up somewhere else, then ask where you want to be left, you can put the name of the street or select it on the map and finally Put look for driver. Once assigned the driver will tell you his name, the registration number of the vehicle and the car model plus the fare and the approximate price plus once in the car the GPS tells you where the driver is and how much time he has left to pick you up and  once in the taxi it shows you the way to go and your position as you advance.

In Taxistars you have to register and it does not give you an approximate price but good is good too.

I wish I had this app when I arrived, it would have been my salvation after a horrible day. I also find it super safe, I use it whenever I go out at night and to go to and from the airport.

3. Wallet

It is important to know how much money you spend, no matter how much you are in another country and it is cheaper it is good to have a budget. Basically, it is an accounting app, this is obviously optional.

Do not make the same mistakes as me
