Suggestions for withdraw money interest free in Milan

I searched a lot for banks where i could cash out money without interest for my staying in Milan, before i went there. I did not want to have an italian bank account because i would stay there for a short time. I also found an accommodation without any contract, so i did not need to have a bank account anyway.

According to my researches, using the TEB bank did make sense but Yapı Kredi Uni Credit bank also can be used easily as i heard from some friends. I had euro and lira accounts from TEB bank and i made deposite for both. I used the BNL-BNP Paribas bank the one which has agreement with TEB bank so i could withdraw money from my euro account interest free, you can find the ATMs easily so i didnt have any problem to find them. When i had run out of euro, my sister paid into from Turkey. If I wanted to use the online banking for transfering money, I had to confirm a code sent by bank to my phone but i could not have confirm because my turkish phone number is not allowed to use in Italy.

If you need to ask someone the way of an ATM, ask for bancomat because atm can be understood as the travelling card. If you do not see any ATM outside of the bank, you can get inside with using your credit card by make it read the system in front of the bank. For example, some homelesses sleep in front of the ATMs of the BNL-BNP bank in Duomo square so I used to prefer the one inside.

Only problem TEB has is that limitation of withdrawing money per day, I could withdraw only 250 euros. That means, I had to get the money to pay the rent about three days earlier because i would rather carrying not so much money on me. If it does not bother you, I can suggest that bank for you but it bothers, you also can get more information about Yapı Kredi Unicredit and use it as well.

May it be easy

Best wishes
