Citizens of EU nations and people can study in Finland asimiladass without a residence permit for a period not exceeding three months. After this time, students must register their residency rights in a police station. The main reason for wanting to reside in Finland should be their studies at a Finnish educational institution. The student must have the means to live in Finland and have established a health insurance. These students are not eligible for scholarships in Finland.
Citizens of Nordic countries do not need a visa or residence permit to study in Finland.
