Preparing...!!

Hello guys!

I was surprised to see that there was no blog about Opole erasmus experiences, so i decided to make my own, hope it'll be usefull for you!

It's probably early to start writing about a trip that i haven't started yet, but i want to leave you some information that can possibly be helpfull you on your application this year (or in the years to come)!

Accomodation? The University has 3 dorms, 2 of them have shared bedrooms (2 or 3 people in the same room) and there are a few single bedrooms in the 3rd dorm.

I've heard that it's really hard to rent an apartment in Opole because polish people don't understand english really well. If you still wanna try renting an apartment see this website a polish friend sent me:

Do i need to buy Zloty?In Portugal we have a thing called "Cartão de Residentes no Estrangeiro da Caixa Geral de Depósitos" (Foreigner Resident Card) which allows us to "escape" exchange taxes.

You open a bank account for, pay 20€ and use that card during the semester. When you return you cancel the account. If you don't want to do that there are bureaux de change (in Poland is called a "kantor") so you can exchange cash there. You can also use the Airports ATM to get cheaper taxes.

European Health Insurance Card?if you're european it's a good time to request the insurance card. It takes a while until it gets sent to your home, so do it as soon as possible.
