Night life, Wroclaw

The night life in Wroclaw is one of the most spectacular things of Erasmus. There are a series of key days to go out (or at least it was that way last year). Students usually go out Mondays (a key day), Wednesdays (sometimes) and Fridays. Now then, you will ask yourselves why you go out on Mondays and why Fridays and not Saturdays. It has logic, I promise.

Firstly, tell them to go out the day you go out, there will always be people. Wroclaw is a place that has a big student atmosphere since its universities hosts thousands of students and there are always people on the streets, no matter what day it is.

Now then, those days are the key to success. Starting from this base, I will explain a little more to you about what parting in Poland consists of.

Firstly, they can fine you for drinking in the street. Despite the cold there, it will seldom occur to you to do it. So the botellons get moved to the residencies. In our case, on most occasions, we drank in Olowek which one must get to know (remember, one of the residencies the University of Wroclaw offers is this one). Of course, at two we were all out because, although I did not tell you in the other post, each of the two residences (Kredka and Olowek) are open all day except for one hour a day. While Kredka closes between three and four in the morning, Olowek does between two and three.

In terms of the price of beer or any alcoholic drink-do not worry-like nearly everything prices are not expensive at all (especially when they offer promotions in Carrefour on thousands of beers for practically free, right Dani? ). I recommend that you try the thousands of beers that they have in Poland. The things that they are are not like Estrella Galicia but they are good. The vodka is also very good. Basically, it is one of the principal drinks in Poland and the one that they commercialise the most. There are a lot of brands, sizes and prices that exist.

After this distraction I will continue. Once the bottelon is done and you are already considerably high on life, we had various plans according to the day of the week.

Firstly, I want to warn you that the Erasmus parties happen continuously. However, those Erasmus parties should be called parties for Spanish students since the DJs were Canary Islanders and, as you will understand, the pachanguero (upbeat music) and the typical songs that we know are always present.

Starting from this base and, as warned, I will start talking about Mondays. Ah, how beautiful are Mondays! That day of the week that all students hate will be a key day in our academic calender to avoid whatever class the next day. Every Monday there is an Erasmus party in the Alibi pub.

The pub is just in front of the stairs that go down from the Kredka and Olowek stairs so, white and in bottle, milk. It is an essential appointment every Monday. Truthfully those nights are the best of Erasmus, pay attention to me and leave the bar high. And even if you get tired of those four walls at some point, keep going. In Alibi something always happens and when you hear about things, you will end up regretting it hahahahahaha.

The rest of the days are a bit random. It's not like Mondays that there's always a fixed place to go to. The students in Wroclaw usually go out on Fridays because that is when there is more of a university atmosphere. On Saturdays, the Poles usually go out.

Those days when you do not know where to go there are always several options, all located in the centre of Wroclaw. Pasaz Niepolda or Rynek will be the key places for this type of night outings.

Pasaz Niepolda is located in Ruska 51, a pedestrian area that is surrounded by a fence where you will find everything from pubs to bars. There you can find classic clubs such as Melanz, Mundo or Eter. All have their good points and, in practically all three, they usually put top songs that motivate you every night of your Erasmus. In my point of view we went to Mundo the most and to Melanz towards the end of the Erasmus, but all of them are highly recommended.

In Rynek, on the other hand, you will find other clubs and pubs in which Erasmus parties are also held, such as Antidotum and CherryClub (where you go out on Wednesdays), among others.

However, if what you really prefer is to drink a relaxing beer, do not worry, there are also places for those kind of days. Of course, I'll tell you later.

And, you know, listen to me and do not forget to enjoy every minute.

To be continued...
