My Erasmus experience - what i learned while being on my own

While traveling to another place it inevitable not to discover new locations, encounter with different people. Meantime we learn things which were hidden in our own 'capabilities'.  During my Erasmus studies in Leipzig i learned some things to do on my own due to my modest student budget.

My Erasmus experience - what i learned while being on my own

Monument Battle of Nations

1. Learned baking - It wasn't healthy and economically possible to buy cookies everytime from the supermarket. So decided to learn less-time consuming ways of baking. You can have a look to two of them in a given link -

2. French braids - Back in my country french braids was my most favorite and stylish hairstyle as it was non-disruptive while reading at university. But everytime when i was needed it I had to wake up my sister early mornings or beg her in busy times to do my hair. After moving out for my studies I had to learn how to braid on my own.

It takes me around 6-7 minutes to make it :)

3. Library lifestlye- Back in Azerbaijan and Poland university libraries (in Azerbaijan even national library as well) had specific working hours, after closure I reluctantly I had leave the place.  In Leipzig campus library was the place where i could study endlessly :) My homemade cookies added little taste to it.

4. How to economize budget - Usually we spend what we have, but sometimes we exceeding the actual limit. Especially during my first year studies there was 'hole in my pocket'.  Moving to Germany I decided to plan my budget beforehand. So, for this we took one piece of A4 paper and stick it to the wall, possibly next to our study desk. Then, for instance we draw on it 5 lines vertically representing  5 months. Each month we also divide into 4 spaces - representing weeks. Thus, we are writing every single item on it which buy. One can even set limit like 30-40 euros per week and we are ready to go!

These are a photos taken by me which i would like to share with you and give some infos. Enjoy :)
