Academia 77: Martial arts academy with discount for international students!

Are you an Erasmus student in Porto, and you always wanted to practice martial arts? At Academia 77 you can find Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay-Thai, Karaté Shinkyokushinkai and Boxing as well as a gym.

The environment is very comfortable, it’s like a family gym. The annual insurance is for free, they don’t charge any inscription fees and they do not use any loyalty program.

About the academy

This new academy was created with the wish to make a completely different space. The design of the club is very beautiful and fancy, and they offer a lot of comfort. They have highly skilled staff and they value a personalized service to make their customers reach their personal objectives. Before or after your workout you can relax in the lounge zone, with comfortable seats and nice music.

In one room they have the group activities of martial arts. The room is all white and has natural light. As you can see on the picture, it contrasts very stylishly with the grey and pink fitballs. The room is equipped with boxing bags, steps, plastrons, rubber bands, fitballs, etc.

The gym has several cardio fitness machines. Besides there is the ‘weight zone’ equipped with Olympic bars, dumbbells and weight discs.

The changing rooms are very cozy with large showers that invite relaxation at the end of each workout. It also has soap dispensers and bath gel. You can use lockers of various sizes.

Hours and location

The club opens at 10 a. m. and closes at 10 p. m. from Monday to Friday. Saturday the gym opens at 10 a. m. and closes at 13. 30 p. m. On Sundays the academy is closed.

The club is near the ‘loja de cidadão’ and the nearest metro station is Combatentes in Porto. More precisely, the address is Praceta do Maestro Resende Dias, nº 77.
