Individual plan of visiting Lisbon in two days

I present to you my plan of visiting Lisbon in two days (actually one and a half), because we usually have to add time to reach the city and the time for checki in in hostel. To my plan, I also include places that you can additionally visit. Depending on whether you have the strength to continue to explore the city and what kind of transport you are moving, because it is also a about time. I will use the portuguese names of tourist attractions because it is easier to find them on the map.

The first day:

The route - the route itself from point to point is about 5 kilometers.

  1. Hostel on the Praça da Figueira ->  The Castelo Sao Jorge; (Approximately 700 meters, 12 minutes but up hill, entrance 8,50 euros with Lisboa Card 20% discount).
  2. The Castelo Sao Jorg -> Miradouro das Portas do Sol View Point; (Approximately 550 meters, 7 minutes down, is for free).
  3. Miradouro das Portas do Sol View Point-> Miradouro de Santa Luzia View Point; (Approximately 100 meters, 2 minutes, is for free).
  4. Miradouro de Santa Luzia Vie Point  - > The Se Cathedral; (Approximately 350 meters, 5 minutes, we go down, is for free).
  5. The Se Cathedral - > Saint Anthony's Church; (Approximately 70 meters, 1 minute, is for free).

  10. Hostel -> Praça do Comércio; (Approximately 700 meters, 9 minutes).
  11. Praça do Comércio -> Hostel on the Praça da Figueira; (Approximately700 meters, 9 minutes).

The route can be extended to take a walk to the district of Graca and find the Miradouro Sophia de Mello View Point. Breyner Andresen (Calçada da Graça, 1100-265 Lisbon) is also called Miradouro de Graça. To get there we can continue to step 3 instead of it just bounce and go to Graca district. We can also start from here our journey, take advantage of the tourist tram line 28 and get off at the Largo da Graca, or you can go to the Martim Moniz and take the bus number 734. In the area where is Miradouro de Graça you should go also to the Church of Grace (Igreja e Convento da Graça) the church can be visited for free. Miradouro de Nossa Senhora to Monte View Point is also nearby, this is another view point I have not been able to reach and I regret very much, unfortunately time has run out. From here you can start wandering, continuing the route from the first point.

One thing to keep in mind is that these are the only distances you take from place to place, do not assume it or see everything around you, or do you walk into every street by what we do round the road. We did about 10 kilometers, so it's not really a lot, but it does not look like that again as much as it assumes the theoretical route. I am not able to determine how much we have taken the whole tour, but each one of us has its own individual timer. Besides, it should be noted that we were walking to most of these places what I said about.

The second day:

When it comes to exploring Belem, if you are interested to buy a Lisboa Card at this site then it can be a good purchase. However, if you decide not to buy Lisboa Card consider the opportunity to buy a combined ticket, the cost is much lower. In addition to these places that I was able to see you might to see Carriage Museum, which cost 6 euros and wynio from Lisboa Card is less than 15%.

  1. Hostel on the Praça da Figueira-> Belem; (Tram number 15, get off at the stop of Belem. You can also take bus 201; 714; 727; 751, driving about 30 minutes. Admission to the Palacio de Belem costs 2, 50 euros, tour the museum Presidential 2.50 euros).
  2. Palácio Nacional de Belém -> Pasteis de Belem cafe; (Approximately 250 meters, 3 minutes, one cookie is € 1.10).
  3. Pasteis de Belem-> Mosteiro dos Jeronimos; (Approximately 500 meters, 6 minutes. Entrance to Mosteiro dos Jeronimos will cost you 10 euro, with Lisboa card is for free).
  4. Mosteiro dos Jeronimos -> Padrão dos Descobrimentos monument, (Approximately 600 meters, 7 minutes. The entrance to Padrão dos Descobrimentos museum costs 3 euro, with Lisboa Card discount 20%).
  5. Padrão dos Descobrimentos -> Torre de Belem (Approximately 1, 2 kilometers, 14 minutes. Admission to the Torre de Belem costs 6 euros, with Lisboa Card entrance for free).
  6. Torre de Belem -> Monumento Aos Combatentes do Ultramar; (Approximately 200 meters, 2 minutes, the monument is for free and entrance fee to the Museum of combatants  is 4 euros).
  7. Monumento aos Combatentes do Ultramar-> Mercado da Riberia; (First 800 meters to walk about 10 minutes, tram line 15 from Largo da Princesa to Cais Sodra is about 25 minutes, another option is to walk 1, 2 kilometers about 15 minutes then take a metro on metro stop Alges, exit to Sodre, metro takes 11 minutes).
  8. Mercado da Riberia -> Miradouro de Santa Catarina View Point; (Next to the Dom Luis Park, about 600 meters, 8 minutes, View Point is for free).
  9. Miradouro de Santa Catarina->Praça Luís de Camões; (Approximately 500 meters, 6 minutes).
  10. Praça Luís de Camões-> Basílica dos Mártires; (Approximately 70 meters, 1 minute. Admission to the Basilica is free).
  11. Basílica dos Mártires -> Igreja de São Roque; (Approximately 350 meters, 4 minutes). Admission to the Church of St. Roch costs 2, 50 euros, with Lisboa Card cost is 1 euro).
  12. Igreja de São Roque-> Praça da Figueira; (Approximately 900 meters, 12 minutes).
  13. Praça da Figueira -> Praça de Dom Pedro IV; (Approximately 350 meters, 4 minutes).
  14. Praça de Dom Pedro IV -> Praça de Restauradores, (Approximately 350 meters, 4 minutes).
  15. Praça de Restauradores -> Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara View Point; (About 600 meters in 10 minutes up sharply, you can also take the bus 51 from the stop  Restauradores to the stop Gloria Rua Sao Pedro de Alcantara total of 5 minutes).
  16. Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara -> Monument of Tolerance; (Approximately 700 meters, 9 minutes).
  17. Monument of Tolerance -> Church de São Domingos; (Approximately 150 meters, 1 minute free entrance).
  18. Igreja de São Domingos -> Praça da Figueira; (Approximately 190 meters, 2 minutes).

The route itself is about 8 and a half kilometers but you have to take into account all the places we visit, so that day we made about 15 kilometers, to preparing our legs for the most intense day in Sintra.

Well to be honest really two days, it is not astonishing to explore the city, but this is sufficient time to decide whether the city we like it or not. Of course, it will be more difficult to achieve points, which when I say that even if we add two other museums and the aquarium. However, everything, depends on our good preparation. It seems to me that the route, which we decided to travel is really fine. Because on the one hand we have seen the most important points and tourist attractions that every tourist should see, on the other hand we had the time to wander aimlessly and enjoy the Lisbon atmosphere. Such balanced trips seem to me to be the best plan.
