How to get to Łódź, Poland in the cheapest way possible? 2nd part
It was clear that I had to leave the issue of the fundamental premises quite clear before putting my hands to work in the task of reserving a flight to anywhere in the world and, of course, to Poland as well, which is the theme in question. And there is not a point to point process to be able to follow in this circumstance. We are committed to luck and it is not always on our side.
Having already named up to three fundamental premises like patience, understanding the law of offer and demand and forgetting to wait until the last moment. Now, it only leaves us a quarter premise to complete the quota and to enter the options that are already real, to find a cheap flight to arrive in Poland from Spain. Also, naming it as arriving to the city in which I find myself: Łódź.
4th - Search, search and search: there is no doubt that without this premise all of the others would be compromised and although I have put it fourth, it is not because it is less important. In fact, it is the opposite but it is simply to be able to relate this with the following part of the article, which is the part that is more specific than 'how to arrive in Poland in a cheap way'.
But without me moving away from the theme in question, searching for a good flight seems like a simple task but that is nothing further than the reality. It is something of additional complication as there are few times that you will find a flight at such a distance that is direct, so you will have to "stick out" the combinations alone. One must forget about these search engines that suggest that they compare all the options because either the combination is clear or they do not find it, no joke. In fact, it includes direct flights, for example, that you can find on the "Ryanair" website without any complications. These types of search engines do not find them no matter how much you put the "tick" in the "low cost flights" box (an odd thing that it sometimes does and it sometimes does not).
Stop being lazy for a few minutes or hours and put your hands to work to find the best option and so that your parents don't have to fork out in an exaggerated way. Another thing is that if you overspend money and you don't care about paying 500 euros for a flight that you could have got for 30, but that will depend on each person. It is clear that if you give it time and the best of yourself the result will come early or late until it does not arrive at all but at least you will say to yourself "I have tried everything and I doubt that anyone has found the same flight for a better price". If you go with this mindset it means that you have done everything well and there is nothing to fault. If, in fact, in the end you go for the flight for a price that previously seemed overrated, you will now be proud of your effort in those days when it seemed that the flight page has been set against you.
It seems like a lie but the fact that you are working and forgetting about that search engine for lazy people makes you feel good about yourself, and that you have the power to be able to do everything. Being an autodidact is not bad, although you do not have to reach the point of being stubborn and think that you are always right in any subject, because you will be pedantic. The trick is in gauging, and gauging in this sense talks of flights that you search for and you imagine combinations until you hit the nail on the head. For example, I came to see how Barcelona-Paris-Seville was more affordable than Barcelona-Seville or any surrounding cities. Few would think this would happen to them but you have to be one with mischief and some luck to find that crazy option that saves your trip due to the tightness of your budget.
After showing you all the different premises that I recommend here to everyone, it is now my turn to go properly into how to get to Poland and my city cheaply.
There are two types of combinations in which we will, without a doubt, benefit greatly from:
- A direct flight from Spain to Poland: although it seems like they are a lie and at a very good price if we manage to catch it on a good date, using the recommendations that I have given you previously and in this article. The main combinations are two in the first case. The first place being Madrid-Krakow that will be about 50 euros since it is in the heart of Poland and it is one of the most important cities in the country. On the other interesting side, Barcelona-Warsaw, to the capital directly and for a good price that you can easily find for less than 40 euros. Both options are ideal as both airports have lots of connections with other parts of Spain and it does not even end up being too complicated to arrive there to be on course to Poland. If you are in the northern part of the country and you live quite near to Madrid or Barcelona, you will arrive at one of these two places quickly using whatever form of conventional transport such as bus, train or websites such as "blabla car", where they offer specific cars that are doing a determined journeys and they take you for a previously determined price.
Another case is if you are from the south and even if Madrid is not too far from you or you take the bus for 8 hours for 20 euros (which isn't bad), or you will have to pay too much for a journey in your own country, which is a shame to find an attractive flight with a fabulous price.
But if it were enough, we can find another cheap possibility within the country such as Alicante-Poznan for 50 euros as well for those who are from the Valencian Community, and it works like a ring to a finger.
The advantage of this first option is that you arrive directly to Poland from Spain and once there, although it is a city that is not your own, the arrival to the city in question is not complicated nor expensive, therefore, we do not have to worry much.
- Flight with combination between countries: patience and perseverance are without a doubt the most worthwhile option, although also more annoying because of the hours. Making two flights from different countries arrive on the same day compatible is not an easy task. Ryanair is the key company to find these combined flights and that I have previously named, but it seems that they have also calculated it so that you have to spend a night in some foreign airports since after searching and searching you can find two flights that combine perfectly at a low price but, of course, they are on successive days. Therefore, your whole plan goes to ruins and spending a night at the airport is not that much fun, although it is fully acceptable and neither should be exaggerated.
All of this will save you lots of euros that you can use in a different way. There is also the possibility that if you take the two flights on the same day and both at an affordable price that it is worth the second option instead of the first, which is quite complicated. That being said, it is clear that there are lots of good combinations that I will be listing now.
In the first instance, the one that takes the upper hand is Madrid-Paris-Warsaw and it is because both combinations can be for 15 euros each and in a simple way, so you get from Spain to Poland for about 30 euros if you have the prepaid MasterCard card. This means that they do not charge you billing fees. If you are Andalusian you also have the Seville-Paris-Warsaw combo that will cost a few more euros but that is probably still under 40 euros, so it's not bad either. Now you just have to pray that the schedules are good and you do not have to spend the night in Paris, and it is possible to find it because that flight was the one I caught at Christmas.
In the second position, in terms of being able to afford it, is Milan-Bergamo to Warsaw or directly to Łódź. The advantage of this combination is that you can find it from almost any airport in Spain at a cheap price of less than 30 euros, or even for 10-15 euros sometimes. Once there, the fact that you catch the direct flight on that same day to Łódź means that you can go whistling a tune. Although it is normal that you have to spend a night in the airport in Milan (be careful because they close it and you have to stay outside). So the best would be to go towards Warsaw, having to wait a little between flights and from there, take a train to Łódź that takes two and a half hours and costs less than 5 euros to get to this city. There the quality of life is worth it and paying 5 euros will save you a night at the airport that pretty much nobody likes.
The final affordable option is from London-Warsaw or London-Łódź, that again by having a combination of flights to this city you save the train ride and arrive directly to the centre of Poland. Of course, you can go to Krakow and these flights will cost around 10-15 euros, so again the idea is quite attractive. The only bad thing is that although there are numerous flights from almost all airports in Spain to London, the price in recent months has risen due to the fees charged by Spain for shooting towards to various countries, so that I put it as number three in this second profitable variable.
And basically those are the combinations we have to get to Poland, and as you can see for a price under 50 euros most of the time, doing it simply lacks patience and hours looking for combinations to adapt schedules, days and prices. Everything can be done if you like, use your reason and do not let yourself be carried away by impulses.
