Favorite activities during Erasmus
Intro
The Erasmus experience is basically the same life your use to have just in a new country and with new friends and from time to time doing different activities. As I reminiscing now my Erasmus adventures I gather some photos and some of my favorite activities I did when I was an Erasmus student. I am more than happy to share with you guys some of them.
Whenever I was on Erasmus I had all of a sudden plenty of activities ideas and things to do, bucket lists and sleepless nights going through my mind. According to a normal Erasmus day, usually starts in the morning when you need to attend a class or two at your host university (or not), attend conferences and orientation classes, make projects and hang out with your new friends. Or in case of an internship, go to work and then enjoy the free time. So what is everybody else doing once this daily activities end?
I will show you guys what mine looked like!
1. Sightseeing
This is by far my most favorite activity, I remember I told you guys in my previous posts how before I travel to a new country I always make a list on things I should visit and activities to do. Well this is my number one thing after I settle down and get a taste of the city. Probably a most part of my Erasmus grant goes on trips and sightseeing. I always think is a better way to spend your money rather than spend your nights in clubs or bars.

Gather a bunch of your new friends and travel the country or just make sure to visit everything there is in your host town. From museums to events to historical sites and many more. There is no better memory than looking back at old pictures and remembering that particularly day. Being able to travel and see new things is truly a blessing!

How many days I have left I will still be on the road discovering new places and things, that's my motivation and my hobby.
2. Taking pictures
Going sightseeing and taking pictures are my two favorite activities, well anyways they are related one to another and without snaps will be no memories. I don't know guys but me I am so obsessed with Instagram and posting daily new pics that it got to a point that I always need to supply my phone memory. Whenever I am in a new city I always take pictures like crazy that sometimes Muhammet is embarrassed with me, but I always say the memories are for life. So make sure to take a lot of pictures on your trips.
How useful are now this pictures for this competition, it helped me a lot digging through old memories while I wrote all this posts, I remembered a lot of places I went and things I did.

3. Try local cuisine and take pictures as well
What better activity than eating? It may be consider an activity. Of course trying local cuisine is a must in Erasmus. Even I am so picky with food and I think I have told you guys before but I am still open to try new things as long as it looks good!
Portuguese specialty of meat and traditional sauce (sorry I forgot the name)
Eating at a Turkish restaurant in Porto, Portugal. My plate of course is not Turkish food but the rest it is excluding the french fries.
Every time I am on Erasmus I always enjoy discovering supermarkets and what new products they have that I don't find in my country. I love to go shopping for groceries and try to cook local cuisine.
4. Go shopping with your best friend
If I spoke about shopping earlier then another favorite activity is of course shopping for clothes, ask any girl and they will tell you the same. It's a thing girls like to do especially when you are in a new country and have a new friend as well. So take your new girlfriend and go shopping together, just remember you are on a students budget and don't spend all your money!
Usually I tend to forget that and whenever I am shopping I loose myself and lost count of the money I spend and it not helps crying after trust me. But all in all is a must activity to kill the Erasmus boredom.

5. Party with your new friends
Even if you are a huge party guy or no still make some time to get to know your new friends at the host university. If this means going out and party with them, do that, sacrifice one night or two and you may find your new best friend or maybe you can fall in love, you never know.

6. Fall in love
This is maybe the best activity you can never plan enough to happen. It is something that comes or goes which is out of your reach but you just need to embrace it and go with it. I felt in love many times during all my Erasmus experiences but only one time it was real and long lasting and i am happy to say that is still going strong this days so open your heart and enjoy the ride. If you get hurt at least you know you have tried and every experience is better when you have someone to share it with!
So guys this are some of my favorite activities i do on Erasmus, hope some of you gets inspired and why not read more of what activities you do on your Erasmus experiences.
Wish you all a great afternoon!
