Nice place to visit and party

Published by flag- Lorenzo Di Reda — 9 years ago

the museum collections are very interesting and rich of different kinds of contemporary art. once a month, on friday, there are great parties with music, drink and people. the place is really caratheristic, because of his position next to the Ria and in a nice area of the city. when the sun goes down, it starts to be blinded by nice lights of any colors, with a great and magic view. the museum contains temporary collections, artists from all the world and from basque country, a good service of guardrobe. the incredible structure, now one of the most famous symbols of Bilbao, was created and builded by the canadian architect Frank O. Gehry.

One museum, One dream!

If you are in Bilbao (Basque Country), you can't miss a visit to Guggenheim Museum.

Designed by world famous architect Frank Gehry and inaugurated in 1997, the museum became an attraction for tourists coming from all over the world. Bilbao changed its own international image: from a depressed post-industrial city to a vibrant cultural capital. The whole third sector has been involved in this awesome transformation: tourism, public transport (just think that the underground system and the airport have been designed by Sir Norman Foster and Santiago Calatrava), cultural activities, etc. "put Bilbao on the map again".

Most importantly, the Guggenheim Museum made Bilbao citizens proud to be "Bilbainos", giving them the perception that everything is possible if you really want it.
