Chasing Space Invaders in Bilbo
Anyone can go hunting space invaders as some task which becomes a way to explore a city. This can be possible due to the originality of Invader: the art performance of this French artist who allowed to locate, within several countries around the world, walls dressed with different types of full colored ETs with the appearance of phantoms.
Luckily, Bilbao is one of the spots chosen by this artist, thereby many of his 'ghosts' have been invading the city all over. If the traveler would like to find a map to follow, the book can be found at the Museum of Fine Arts Bilbao. Otherwise the wanderer can feel free to be surprisingly reached by them, while discovering this basque city.
Photo 1: a space invader can be found while walking next to Bilbao Ria.
Photo 2: an invader can be found while walking through the Old City.
Photo 3: another invader on the top of one of the corners out of the Old City.
Photo 4: a 'phantom' can be found while crossing the bridge of the Ria, coming from Teatro Arriaga.
Photo 5: another space invader moreover on the top of one of the walls, close to the Mercado de la Rivera.
These were five invaders exposed to my eyes in Bilbao, but there are plenty more to be found while getting lost within those magnificent streets besides so others around the globe.
An invitation comes from here to those wanderers to keep looking around with the eyes wide open; an invader might invade your path and with its shadow, a desire to look for more will grow as the steps given, as a traveler with thirst of more. A traveler becoming an art detective.
