What is it like to live in Bialystok? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

The city is Beautiful! Białystok is the capital of Podlasie, you can find there pubs, clubs etc but also you can have peaceful walk around parks.

How much does it cost to live in Bialystok?

It is pretty cheap considering 1€=4, 18 zł :P beer is for 8 zł sometimes 7 zł, shore of vodka 4 zł Or 2 zł depends on the place. Bread 3 zł milk 2, 5 zł etc

What places would you recommend visiting in Bialystok?

Pałac Branickich, city center, planty park. Near Białystok: Supraśl, Ogrodniczki.

Is it good to eat out in Bialystok? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

I would recommend you Savona pizza and Salad bar.

Is the nightlife good in Bialystok? Where is good to go?

There are a lot of student parties at Thursday called "studencki czwartek" where you can have a beer almost for half of the original price :) There are clubs with dance music such as Diamond, Prognozy, Łóżko, but also with some dub step like Metro club. When you want to just grab a beer with your friends I recommend pub Tunel, Alchemia, pub Fiction and Społem.

What advice would you give future students heading to Bialystok?

Come on! Don't be shy :)
