What is it like to live in Belgrade? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Belgrade is the capital city of Serbia and amazing place to live in. Belgrade is placed next to two rivers, Dunav and Sava, so it's usually windy. Belgrade has an amazing nightlife and it's a very alive city. People like to walk around and shop. In short, it's not only a great place to raise a family, but to study as well.

What is the student lifestyle like in Belgrade?

Many students chose Belgrade as their first destination after high school. However, this is not surprising, since it's big (it has around 2 million people), it has a lot to offer, colleges are not too expensive, and options are diverse.

How much does it cost to live in Belgrade?

Renting a studio in the centre of Belgrade is around 300 euros. As you can see, it's more expensive than any other city in Serbia, but it's worth it.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Belgrade? Is there any advice you can give?

It's quite easy to find everything you need. People are genuinely nice and helpful. I would choose an apartment close to the University where you want to study, just because you would lose so much time on transportation otherwise.

I recommend visiting Kalemegdan, Knez Mihajlova, Bulevar Kralja Aleksandra, Zemunski Kej, Novi Beograd and Narodno Pozoriste. Just everything. Belgrade will make you fall in love with it.

What advice would you give future students heading to Belgrade?

Be ready to spend a lot of time out and study a lot since studying is Serbia gets a bit hectic. Study standards are high, but fashion ones even higher, so bring your knowledge and a good pair of shoes. Good luck!
