What is it like to live in Belgrade? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

City is nice, placed on rivers Sava and Danube. It has a population of 2 mil people. It has a great nightlife. It is cheaper than majority of European cities. Food is great. Public transport is not so good, we use buses and trams mostly as we do not have a subway.

What is the student lifestyle like in Belgrade?

Students live together at student's city at New Belgrade or they rent flats, or live with parents. They enjoy great nightlife in Belgrade

How much does it cost to live in Belgrade?

To rent a flat- centre of the city around 500 EUR, suburban areas- 200-300 EUR. For bills you will need around 100 EUR monthly. For food min 300 EUR monthly.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Belgrade? Is there any advice you can give?

It is not difficult. There are a plenty of websites for renting a flat. You can choose centre of the city- Dorcol, Vracar or suburban areas.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

A lot of street food- super cheap. Also traditional meals can be found-like cevapcici or pljeskavica. Skadarlija is full of good restaurants but not so cheap.

What places would you recommend visiting in Belgrade?

National Museum, Museum of Nikola Tesla, Church of Saint Sava, Zemun old town, Skadarlia boem part, Kosutnjak with beautiful nature, Ada Ciganlija for sport activities, Usce shopping center for shopping.

Is it good to eat out in Belgrade? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Its good. I like going to Mac or KFC. But I also like some foreign restaurants with Turkish or Indian food. I suggest Skadarlija and Zemun restaurants

Is the nightlife good in Belgrade? Where is good to go?

Super good.
Cetinjska street is a must. Savamala has also good clubs. And also clubs on the river Sava under Branko's bridge like 22/44 famous club.

What advice would you give future students heading to Belgrade?

Enjoy nightlife, visit museums, meet with locals, try cevapcici :)
