What is it like to live in Belgrade? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
I would definitely recommend living in Belgrade, especially during summer when there are a lot of festivals across Serbia. It’s a vibrant city that continuously breathes, there is a saying "Belgrade Never Sleeps".
Furthermore, if you are a person who likes history, then Belgrade would be a perfect choice. There are many museums, historical places that you can visit, like Skadarlija.
What is the student lifestyle like in Belgrade?
Active, community based, there are many places to go, great parties. A lot of student organizations that offer summer and winter trips etc.
How much does it cost to live in Belgrade?
It's cheap, as a foreigner your will lead quite comfortable life.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Belgrade? Is there any advice you can give?
There are a lot of sites where people post their accommodation offers. With a little research it won't be difficult at all.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Ćevapi, Serbian barbecue, goulash.
What places would you recommend visiting in Belgrade?
Skadarlija, Kalemegdan fortress, National Museum, Museum of Modern Art, theatres, there many places.
Is it good to eat out in Belgrade? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
I am not entirely sure, but I do know that there are both cheap and expensive places.
Is the nightlife good in Belgrade? Where is good to go?
It's good to go to the clubs on the river or "Kafana" (Pub/Taverna).
What advice would you give future students heading to Belgrade?
Have fun and don't be afraid to explore. The city has a lot to offer.
