My Experience in Barcelona, Spain by Astrid

What's Barcelona like? What is it like to live there? Would you recommend it?

Barcelona is a magical cosmopolitan city with everything you need to live there, right at your fingertips!

What's the student vibe like in Barcelona?

The student atmosphere is awesome; there are always evenings organised all week long- you'll never get bored!

What is the living cost like in Barcelona?

Life is expensive as it's a really touristy city. So you don't spend too much, it's best to go to the less tourist-occupied places or ones that are further out the city.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Barcelona? Any advice?

It's not difficult to find somewhere to live as there's loads of websites that list places like Erasmusu, Easypiso, Edealista etc...

What's Barcelona's food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There's a lot of tapas bars where you get a free tapas with every drink order. Typical Spanish dishes that are served everywhere are paella and tortilla de patatas (Spanish omelette) and the typical Spanish drink is sangria.

What places do you recommend going to see in Barcelona?

La Rambla, the Gothic quarter, Port Vell, Parc Güell, La Sagrada Familia and Montjuïc.

And to eat in Barcelona? What are your favourite places?

My favourite places to eat are in the tapas bars in the Gothic Quarter or Raval neighbourhood.

Where would you recommend to go out in Barcelona?

There's some really well known clubs near to the sea like Opium and Pacha, which are close to the Passeig Maritim.
