What is it like to live in Barcelona? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I love traveling and I have been in many cities but Barcelona is unique offers many posibilities to enjoy , the architeture modern and gothic, the Gastronomy the sea, the history, the culture.

What is the student lifestyle like in Barcelona?

It is great place to learn the language and the culture a besides they can also have a lot of fun.
There are a lot of places where they can meet and chat , Oveja Negra, Champañet, etc...

How much does it cost to live in Barcelona?

it depents but I think to cover basic need 600 euros a month, ( 300 rent and expenses 300 other basic needs)

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Barcelona? Is there any advice you can give?

No , It is really Easy Erasmusu is a good example, to show us how many people is interested to rent a room or a flat and the prices are reasonable.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Amazing, if you have chance try what we call here " Calçotada" which is a great way of enjoy of a great food with family and friends. The Calçots are like special sweet onions that we eat with a sauce made with tomatos and hazel nuts , ( they are great ).

What places would you recommend visiting in Barcelona?

Obviusly all the Gaudi work ( Sagrada Familia , Park Guell , Batllo, La Pedrera ), but also the Gothic Quarters, But Barcelona has other nice areas less famous but equaly nice like, Poble Nou ( Agbar Tower , flea Market ).

Is it good to eat out in Barcelona? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It is great , there are several places that I love , but the one I like the most probably is " El Vaso de Oro" in la Barceloneta.. If you go there ask for a " Filo" which is an special beer Estrella made specialy for the bar.. and also the " Solomillo con Foie es probably on of the best tapa here.

Is the nightlife good in Barcelona? Where is good to go?

Yeah, there are a lot of great places, in Villa Olimpica, by the ocean but if you prefer a less turistic places you could go to " Moog" in the center.

What advice would you give future students heading to Barcelona?

If at first you do see the beauty of the city just be patiente , I am sure Barcelona will give you what you are looking for , but you have to know the way to find it.
