What is it like to live in Barcelona? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Barcelona is one of the best cities that I have ever been in. I definitely recommend Barcelona for students and for visitors. But it's a bit hard to live and work there because there is too much fun.

The weather is perfect, the city is beautiful, the people are sociable, there are many places to visit and it's hard to get bored.

What is the student lifestyle like in Barcelona?

The student lifestyle in Barcelona is really good. After my teaching project or having studied there's always a place to go to in Barcelona where you can have fun and relax. It is a huge city with a place for every mood you're in.

How much does it cost to live in Barcelona?

Well, living in Barcelona is a bit expensive but it's worth it. The living cost depends on the way you want to live.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Barcelona? Is there any advice you can give?

Accommodation is not that hard to find in Barcelona, especially if you don't have money problems. You can use craigslist, airbnb and also Resa housing.

However, you really have to be careful with cheaters. There are some people who are looking to rent online/electrically; do not listen these people. First they want you to make the money transfer through Western Union and after that, they will send you the apartment key. It's a complete lie. Don't trust them. Don't transfer money through Western Union before you have visited the place and have contacted the landlord in person.

Barcelona is a tourist city, so it's easy to find accommodation.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

I like the typical food of Barcelona the most. It has different kinds of traditional foods. Sea food is widely used in Barcelona.

What places would you recommend visiting in Barcelona?

Since I arrived in Barcelona, I have been using this website to guide me.

I have visited all the places listed on the website. You have to visit all of them, especially 1 - 10. Above all, don't miss the visit to the magic fountain, it is awesome.

The architecture in Parque Güell is also breathtaking. I have never ever seen architecture like in Parque Güell, which is designed by Antoni Gaudí. The city is also decorated by the architect Antoni Gaudí. I would call him the king of Architecture.

Is it good to eat out in Barcelona? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Eating out in Barcelona is a bit expensive but sometimes I have to.

All places in Barcelona, especially around the center like Plaza de Catalunya, Sagrada Família, Glories... are good and have a nice view on the city.

Is the nightlife good in Barcelona? Where is good to go?

Definitely yes. If you are a fan of the nightlife, Barcelona is the right place.

To have good cocktail drinks, you can go to the neighborhood of Passeig de Gràcia. The pubs there are very good.

What advice would you give future students heading to Barcelona?

Enjoy each and every moment you have in Barcelona. Work hard and enjoy the beauty of Barca.
