Most Catalan students live at home with their parents.

How much does it cost to live in Barcelona?

It is expensive...you will need about 800 Euros a month for rent and food.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Barcelona? Is there any advice you can give?

It is difficult to find a room under 300 dollars per month

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is excellent, but don't expect a lot of sauces or spicy dishes.

What places would you recommend visiting in Barcelona?

Stay away from the tourist places...pick a neighborhood and walk around...they best thing about Barcelona is the people

Is it good to eat out in Barcelona? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

The best food and prices are at midday...eat the menu del dia in a local restaurant...avoid theme restaurants and places on the Rambles.

Is the nightlife good in Barcelona? Where is good to go?

If you want to hang out with tourists go to places in the tourist areas...if you want to party with Catalans, go to the clubs that are off the Rambles or far from the beach

What advice would you give future students heading to Barcelona?

Act the same way there that you would at home...People in Barcelona are getting tired of drunken tourists...last summer there were demonstrations against out of control tourism.
