What is it like to live in Barcelona? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I absolutely recommend living here! There's always something to visit or do. Still after living here 4 months and 4 earlier visits there's always new places, restaurants and monuments to see and explore. Also good connections to cities near by for daytrips.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

I'm really picky so I don't personally like Spanish food. Sandwiches, paella and tapas are the most popular ones. Barcelona has a lot of good healty/ecological food restaurants and other special food places. Brunch&Cake is one of the popular ones and then there's weird places like eyescream&friends, who serves a extraordinary icecreams.

What places would you recommend visiting in Barcelona?

Tibidabo is one of the best attractions here! Big church on top of a hill from where you can see the whole city. You can actually climb up on top of the church and on top of the hill there's also amusement park. Sagrada familia is the most popular one,  also magic fountain & plaza espanya, cities/towns near by like tossa de mar, girona and sitges. Tossa de mar has a wonderful medieval town and castle and also few beaches that are better that those that you can find from Barcelona city. Montserrat for hiking and monastery visiting, camp nou for stadium tours and barcas games, la rambla, Barceloneta, port vell. For shopping I would recommend Splau shopping center, cos it's little bit farer away but there's no long lines.

Is it good to eat out in Barcelona? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

I really like it, but I prefer more international food. Healthy/ecological food and amazing dishes you can find from brunch&cake. It's very popular and you might have to wait for table but it's worth it! Also eyescream&friends is one place I recommend. They serve shaved gelato with candy eyes and few toppings. Really good and unique idea for icecream. Bilbao Berria is a popular pintxo place and the concept is really nice. If you have a sweet tooth visit in Bicioci Cafe! They have the best lemon cake in the world! The cafe is full of bicycle parts hanging in the walls and the atmosphere is really good.

Is the nightlife good in Barcelona? Where is good to go?

Hell yeah! At the moment I work in a hostel and we are taking our quest out every night. Opium is the most well known but half our quests don't like it cos it's so crowded and they have really strict dress code. Catwalk is well liked in midst of our quests. 3 floors and different music in every floor. Razzmatazz and ovella negra are good also
