I recommend it 100%. The only negative is that everything is pretty expensive.

What's the student life like in Barcelona?

Very good. It's welcoming with a good feeling and good companionship.

How much does it cost to live in Barcelona?

Depends on the neighbourhood you want to live in, but minimum 600€/month, more or less.

Was it difficult finding housing in Barcelona? Would you have any advice?

There are many student residences but they tend to be pretty expensive. I would recommend sharing a flat with other students in the centre.

How is the local food? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is very good, as in all of Spain, with its typical Mediterranean diet.

What sites would you recommend visiting in Barcelona?

There's much to visit: the Sagrada Familia, the Passeig de Gracia, the Pedrera house and the Casa Batllo, the Plaça Catalunya, the Las Ramblas neighbourhood, the Gothic Quarter, the Barceloneta, the Ciutadella Park, the Horta Labyrinth, the Parc Güell, etc... For me, without a doubt, the best is the Gothic Quarter.

And what are your favourite places to eat in Barcelona?

The restaurants in the Gracia neighbourhood are usually pretty good, and the prices are very reasonable.

Where would you recommend going out at night in Barcelona?

Razzmatazz, Apolo, Pacha, Opium...

Do you have any advice for future students going to Barcelona?

That you know where to go shopping so that it's not overly expensive. Some supermarkets, such as the Condi or Sorli, are more expecting, whereas others, like Dia, Caprabo or Mercadona, are cheaper. Also, that you keep in mind that Barcelona is a very big city and that you need to carefully watch your bag/purse, especially in the tourist areas or when going out partying at night.
