What is it like to live in Barcelona? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in BCN leaves one full of inspiration because you meet so many new people and learn about its deep history.

What is the student lifestyle like in Barcelona?

Busy but fun. You will be very tired much of the time and will sleep like a baby at night. But this is precisely because you are so busy living a great life.

How much does it cost to live in Barcelona?

It depends where you rent and how you live your life. It also depends where you are coming from in the world and what you are accustomed to paying there.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Barcelona? Is there any advice you can give?

It is NOT hard to find accommodation in Barcelona. Advice? Be ready to move around as you will find better conditions little by little as you get to know more people. Never sign a contract that traps you in a room/flat! Collaborate with you classmates.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is great and too long to list.

What places would you recommend visiting in Barcelona?

Check out all of Gaudi's work, it is worth any cost and is basic for understanding the rich Catalan culture. Take up every opportunity to go to social events, and I mean every one, no matter how much schoolwork you have!

Is it good to eat out in Barcelona? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Eating out in Barcelona is mandatory, especially in groups. Too many spots to name.

Is the nightlife good in Barcelona? Where is good to go?

Nightlife is great in BCN. Depends on the music you like, so many places. I personally love Razz but have been to many other places. Be open (at least at first)!

What advice would you give future students heading to Barcelona?

Make contacts with the locals and learn Catalan well but never be a snob!
