Why did you choose to go to Barcelona, Spain?

I like my programme. I got selected for Erasmus Mundus Research for information and Technology.Also Barcelona is one of the beautiful city of the world

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship is for two years. I received one thousand Euros for my livings.

What is the student lifestyle like in Barcelona?

I love student life in barcelona. Weather is fantastic. Living standard in barcelona is very nice. My University is well structured and my professor are also very good.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Barcelona to other students?

Yes why not.Its new experience and phase of life. Atleast being an indian i have to say that i was in another world.

What is the food like?

Food is like bocadillo, pata de espanya, Tortilla, soupa de catalan, paeya. This food is opposite of my life style. But i like that

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Barcelona?

No. Everything is paid by Government. Thank you erasmus and indian Government.

How much does it cost to live in Barcelona?

Its completely depends on your lifestyle but minimum is700 Euros per month

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available in the University?

Yes i learn spanish very easily.Not a difficult language i say. In my programme they don't give this previldge to learn spanish language but catalan is free.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Barcelona from your city?

I live(My house)near to New Delhi. It take 450 to 600 Euros to and fro tickets depends when you book ticket.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Barcelona?

I recommend to go to parallel or barcenoleta beach or placa catalunya for night out

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Barcelona?

Usually there are small bars and pub everywhere. You can eat anywhere you want. I studied in Universidad polytecnica de catalunya and my canteen food was very delicious i have to say.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Jordi Girona, Sagrada famalia, Nuria, Parc Guella, Barcenoleta, Valencia, Madrid, Andalucia

Is there any other advice that you could give to future students who are going to Barcelona?

Life is beautiful in barcelona but also study hard for your future.
