Why did you choose to go to Barcelona, Spain?

I had a friend from Barcelona.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It was a 5 month internship, and I received €2. 000.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Barcelona to other students?

Definitely!

What is the food like?

It's delicious and affordable. Patatas bravas!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Barcelona?

Yes.

How much does it cost to live in Barcelona?

A lot, my studio was €750 per month, and it was the cheapest.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I wasn't studying, so I can't answer.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Barcelona from your city?

By plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Barcelona?

Opium, Shoko, Pacha and Eclipse (in W Hotel).

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Barcelona?

La Poma, The Lime Bar, Bar Simón or any local restaurant.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

All of them, but Tarragona (another city in Catalonia) is amazing as well.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Barcelona in the future?

Boy, Barcelona is amazing. Enjoy it to the fullest. Don't be shy to try your Spanish with locals. If you must, to gain confidence, have a Moritz/Estrella, or two, and just do it. I learned 80% of my Spanish and also Catalan in the city, and I can't wait to move back to Barcelona!
