Why did you choose to go to Barcelona, Spain?

The education is cheaper compared to other cities in europe, except the public schools of course. The life is not expensive too much, and the people are warm and helpful. And also the weather is amazing. You can see the people in the beach not only the summer, but also in October!

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship continues along my education, so 9 months. I receive 1000 euros in one time for whole education.

What is the student lifestyle like in Barcelona?

Student lifestyle is very enjoying in there. You never bored in this city and your group. Your friends always have an idea and suddenly you have a plan to go out and fun!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Barcelona to other students?

Of course! I never regret to choose Barcelona. I am sure that everyone enjoy this experience and never feel sorry.

What is the food like?

My favorite food in here is Patatas Bravas, and amazing sandwiches which made in fresh homemade breads, and also crispy croissants... all of these are amazing..

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Barcelona?

A little bit.. this step needs to behave early, like 3 monts before you came. You start to look your accommodation as early as possible. Otherwise, you can miss the beautiful choices..

How much does it cost to live in Barcelona?

Averagely, 250-300 euros/month is enough for living costs, included transportation and shopping. The other costs are up to you.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I prefer English language programme but you have a choice to learn spanish anytime, and also you can choose any spanish program with spanish language prep school.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Barcelona from your city?

The only choice is plane for me. I live in Turkey and the most economical way is to get your ticket very early. Low-cost airway companies have low cost tickets if you travel the europe from there. It is a good opportunity!

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Barcelona?

I’m not a party person so much, sorry, I cannot answer this question.. :)

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Barcelona?

Maka maka and Brunch&cake are my favorites! You should try.. you will never regret :)

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Gothic quarter, el born, el raval regions, and also excellent pieces of Gaudi’s must to see. You can faced with history in every corner of Barcelona streets. Your phone’s memory can be full because of the photos, attention! :)

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Barcelona in the future?

They should not bring too much clothes when they are moving here because there are a lot of clothes company with cheap prices. It does not worth to pay much extra luggage, believe me. :) and have fun everytime! :)
