Why did you choose to go to Barcelona, Spain?
Because from my childhood I was dreaming to go to Spain because of its culture and history.I chose Barcelona because it is the most beautiful city in the world for me.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I received 2000€ scholarship for 6 months moreover I received nearly 2000€ from my parents.
What is the student lifestyle like in Barcelona?
Daylight at school and at the night at the party. The local students are relax and diciplined and they have a social life.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Barcelona to other students?
Sure it is an amazing city with it's friendly people and location. Every student should live this fantastic experience if they have a chance to study in Barcelona.
What is the food like?
The foods are typical mediterranean foods. The most populer ones are paella and tortilla.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Barcelona?
Yes I paid to an agency to find a rent a room in a student house.It was approximately 250€.
How much does it cost to live in Barcelona?
I paid 290€ for the accomodation everything was included and I spent nearly between 500-600€ each month
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available in the University?
Yes if you want you can access to the catalan courses only for 20€ at the University.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Barcelona from your city?
The easiest and most economical way to travel Barcelona from Turkey is by plane.For a cheaper flight ticket you should reserve your seat before a few months.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Barcelona?
Nightclubbs.Sutton,Razzmataz,Opium,Sotavento,Catwalk
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Barcelona?
Tapioka Restaurante Brasileño Barcelona also there are some good restaurants around Las Ramblas
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
There are a lot of interesting places in Barcelona.For instance:Sagrada Familia,Castell de Montjuic,Park Güell,Placa Espanya,La Pedrera,Las Ramblas etc.
Is there any other advice that you could give to future students who are going to Barcelona?
