Why did you choose to go to Barcelona, Spain?

Well, my family moved here, because they love the weather (comparing to Moscow) and its seemed like Spanish people's mentality is more similar to Russians.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I do not have any scholarships so my life here is pretty expensive.

What is the student lifestyle like in Barcelona?

Very unstable, because during the semester due to lots of goings out and friends there is not much time to study, so once it comes to the exams periods it is a lot of pain and stress. But honestly it's worth it, I think Barcelona is a great city for students.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Barcelone to other students?

City- definitely.

UB I don't know, I'm studying in ESADE which is quite hard but great.

What is the food like?

Fruits & vegetables are amazing, of course.

I'm not a big fan of tapas or Spanish cuisine, but in Barcelona one can find a huge variety of different kitchens and meals.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Barcelona?

I am living alone in a rental flat so it is a bit expensive, but there is no problem to find a roommate or something.

How much does it cost to live in Barcelone?

Well, according to my monthly expenses it's around 3500-4000€.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, Spanish is pretty easy to learn and there are a lot of courses and private teachers.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Barcelone from your city?

As for public transport I'm not a big fan of the underground of Barcelona, so when I have to drop my car somewhere I use buses.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Barcelona in the future?

Enjoy!
