Why did you choose to go to Barcelona, Spain?

I study Spanish, I needed practise my language skills and also to visit this beautiful city.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I am staying here for 5 months, the scholarship is 450e/month, but that is not enough so my parents are helping me. Though I know a lot of people that can manage to live out of this amount of money.

What is the student lifestyle like in Barcelona?

It is amazing. Studies at UAB are hard, because the teachers don't care that you are not a native speaker... Anyway, apart from that the life is great...

Would you recommend the city and the University of Barcelona to other students?

I would definitely recommend the city. It depends what you are studying, if it is languages, especially Spanish, be ready to work hard.

What is the food like?

The food is delicious! It has it all for all kind of tastes. Mostly Mediterranean cuisine, but there are many other cuisines to choose from if you are not a fan of it.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Barcelona?

Yes, I paid for the agent, but not to find the apartment,only for the contract. We are renting the whole flat so we had to pay the agent.

How much does it cost to live in Barcelona?

For me it is about 900euros, but it depends on the person definitely. I know people that manage to live out of the half of my sum perfectly.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I study languages so I am not sure whether I can answer this question. Be sure thagt most of the classes will be in Spanish (or in Catalan).

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Barcelona from your city?

Plane (from Vilnius, Ryanair of course)
