How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
The scholarship is 6 months. 500€ each month.
What is the student lifestyle like in Barcelona?
The student lifestyle is amazing! You can choose between so many different events all around the city (most of them for free), and if you don't want just enjoy the amazing city!
Would you recommend the city and the University of Barcelona to other students?
Yes, without a doubt.
What is the food like?
Spanish food is very good. From tapas to every kind of seafood to the famous jamón. and very cheap comparing to the rest of Europe.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Barcelona?
Yes, a little bit. there are a lot of people coming every day to star a new experience in Barcelona so you have a lot of competition.
How much does it cost to live in Barcelona?
It's cheaper than in other European countries but is one of the most expensive cities in Spain.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
The language is quite easy to learn. For me no problem because I am Italian, but for English-speaking is a little bit harder.
Yes, there are free courses in both languages: Spanish and Catalan.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Barcelona from your city?
By plane. From Rome to BCN is very easy and cheap. Most of the times you have to look at low-cost companies that make very good prices to reach BCN.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Barcelona?
Everywhere. The entire city is amazing. You can find a party and good mood everywhere around the city. Especially places visited by natives are the best.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Barcelona?
There are plenty of very good restaurants in BCN. My favourite one is Cucine Mandarosso, in the Born Quarter. One of the best Italian restaurants in the city.
All around the city is full of restaurants with every kind of food. Just take a look and enjoy... you will not regret it.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
The entire city is a museum. The architecture of the city is amazing and is wonderful just to take a walk around.
All the best monuments like Sagrada Familia, Parc Güell, Casa Battlò, La Pedrera and more you have to book a ticket days before your visit because a lot of people visiting every day. Of course, they are not free.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Barcelona in the future?
Come here is amazing! enjoy the city! If you are a skater will be your heaven.
