Because my interests for Spanish culture

What is the student lifestyle like in Barcelona?

Basing on my experience, student lifestyle in Barcelona is very stimulating and full of opportunities to learn and to know about the city and the culure, simply having fun.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Barcelona to other students?

Yes, I would. The city is wonderful and lively, suitable for young people and the university offers many resources to students.

What is the food like?

Amazing! I am Italian and I think spanish food is similiar to italian food.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Barcelona?

Yes, it was very hard.

How much does it cost to live in Barcelona?

The level of the life is not very high there, so the cost to live there is not expensive. On the other hand, is a touristic city and consequently restaurants, hotels and accomodations are expensive.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I believe that italian and spanish languages have a lot in common. So for me the language was easy to get to grips with. I know that there are catalan courses at the University.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Barcelona from your city?

The easiest way to travel to Barcelona from my city is the plain.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Barcelona?

There are many places in Barcelona where thereis live music every night. I would recommend to go to "la taverna de Barcelona". I also recommend to go for a walk for the streets of the center and of the Gracia district, where is often possible to find many events and activities to do.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Barcelona?

For traditional Spanish dishes I can recommend "taberna el Golp" situated in the Gracia district, and "Bona Sort" situated in the El Born district.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are many fantastic cultural places in Barcelona. I recommend all the Gaudì's works, the "Museu de Cultures del Món", "Palau de la Musica"and "Teatre Liceu".
