Why did you choose to go to Barcelona, Spain?

To experience living abroad for a year

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It is 9 months after paying my rent each month I have a little left over for food and social elements

What is the student lifestyle like in Barcelona?

You don't see many students around the city

Would you recommend the city and the University of Barcelona to other students?

Yes if you are able to fit into a different culture and lifestyle as it is a lot different from living at home which has many positives and negatives

What is the food like?

I don't really like spanish food it is very small and expensive, they aren't very multi cultural with the food

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Barcelona?

Yes always you have to pay an agency fee which can be quite a lot depending on the company

How much does it cost to live in Barcelona?

I pay 370 euros for a double room near the beach which is quite cheap

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Not really. And yes there Is many language courses

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Barcelona from your city?

Low cost airlines are very good and accessible

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Barcelona?

Yes defiantly, but expect to pay a lot for drinks except beer

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Barcelona?

Yes there is thousands of tapas restaurents but this can get boring and repetitive

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There is so many in barcelona such as , la sagarda famille, Montjuic , mont sarott, Tibidado and plenty more

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Barcelona in the future?

Try and learn spanish before you come, make sure you know some people as it is very lonley here and people aren't very friendly once they know you are foreign
