Incredible and amazing day in Barceloneta and Las ramblas
Barcelona is an amazing touristic city that I had the amazing chance to visit during my stay in Portugal, it is famous mainly by the football games called classico between real Madrid and Barcelona. The entire world follow the Spanish league and like to see the best players ever gathered in one field to play and show the best they have, especially their skills, their technical power and their tactical plan to win the game in a mathematical equation that would depend mainly on the play of the other team. My main wish was of course to visit the Spanish stadium first then to enjoy the last part of the day in the beach in la Barceloneta.
Barcelona streets
The streets of Barcelona are very clean, very well organized and amazingly beautiful. When we walk in the narrow streets especially we can distinguish the existence of the flags representing Catalonia. Before one day of my departure to visit the city, there was a stroke and the inhabitants of Catalonia were asking for independence which is in my opinion not so much great in the actual circumstances because the independence of this district will make it very vulnerable and more weak towards the political and economical situation the world is now facing. Anyway, thank god there was no stoke when I arrived in the city because otherwise even transport would be frozen totally and even a simple going out in the streets would lead to major risks. I want to highlight also another issue the city is facing, everybody agrees that the city of Barcelona is one of the most beautiful and organized city in the world, however from my personal point of view it still suffers much from the problem of clandestine migration, I could notice clearly in the streets some clandestine people living in the city without regular papers and just putting on the floor one carpet and buying some souvenirs for one euro. The even worst problem is that when I wanted to take the metro it was a whole world of clandestine people in the underground metro station. The good thing is that these people are working and living from selling the souvenirs but we should not forget that they don't reach the minimum salary and could be pushed to steal people in the street, this is the reason why people walking in Barcelona streets must take great careful about their back packs and their personal belongings especially inside restaurants where the attention of most of people get reduced due to interesting talking with friends or to having lunch. This parallel world exists until now and as I understood that the municipality of the city tries its best to find a solution for these people but unfortunately war did not end until now so people must be aware of this thing very well. Anyway the city is very beautiful, the Placa Catalonia is one of the most beautiful square I ever saw before, decorated with amazing coloured flowers and wonderful fountains, it also offers great monuments to admire and an amazing shopping called el corte ingles where people can enjoy amazing reductions in the clothes prices especially in the month of August.
La Barceloneta
La Barceloneta is probably the most famous and trendy district in the town. In fact it represents kilometres of blue coloured sea and white sand where people can enjoy sun rays by sun bathing and swimming. I could do a great walking near the beach side and I noticed the existence of a deserted place where people can swim alone exactly like a natural swimming pool that was amazing really. The weather is august was not hot but suffocating meaning the sun was so much hot but under the clouds so the swimming in the beach was not possible in the hottest times of the day meaning from midday to 2 pm, the best time for us was after 4 pm. The water was actually warm and the sun less hot for us not to burn under it. I could enjoy with my friends the beat swim ever, but I can say that water was really strong, even though there was no wind in the coast, but by entering the sea, I was feeling it was very fast deep and it was not possible at some point to stand on the feet. But I was swimming while looking in the blue sky and to the hotel W that was giving the view even more splendid aspect. However, the hotel W was also an issue inside the city as I understoof from locals because they claim that before the construction of the hotel, there was a kindergarden and a swimming pool and the rich people that came to built the hotel, that resembles a lot the building built in Dubai called borj khalifa, wanted exactly a very luxurious hotel like the one built in the rich Arabic countries. While the inhabitants of the city did not want that the actual landscape and the authenticity of the view change so they started also to do strikes to destroy it. Anyway, for me when I saw the hotel I did not think that the landscape was altered many people also liked very much seeing it especially by night after the lights are put on and they make the atmosphere more splendid and more romantic.
We also met some very friendly people that were inviting us to the party of that night that was actually a special party concept, in fact the coast of Barcelona is full of clubs and trendy discos and our friends suggested to do a tip by multidestination bus around the city and discover by it the different clubs that surround the area by paying only one time the tour that was really so much interesting to try.
Castles and monuments
Walking inside the city make us discover so much splendid architecture and beautiful designed castles that was built before centuries and still remain in very conservative state. The castle near the stadium is one of the most amazing ones because it offers amazing view of red flowers like a beautiful and homogenised carpet. The after walking in the entrance and admiring the gardens all around, we could discover a large basin of water like a previous swimming pool may be used by a previous king. the flowers were also decorated it and also a flag of Spain was put on the top of this amazing construction as well. The monuments are also various inside the city and near the barceloneta we could find near the port a very old but conserved factory and a port that seemed also to be old but in is nowadays in the heart of the traffic and transportation locally and internationally.
The maremagnum was also standing there in very strong and beautiful facade. This huge commercial center has the best strategic location comparing to others, also it offers a bunch of international clothes label and we can find different levels, various restaurants with amazing view, a club and so much amazing facade with ferrari cars exposed in the entrance. A huge and amazing monuments with lions decorate also the city, it can be found while working around and discovering the first square before the main avenue of the city called las ramblas. In this main avenue stand many vendors in the street offering all types of things like souvenirs, accessories, fans and even food. While I could recommend the Bangladeshi restaurants because they usually offer a whole plate composed of kebab menu and a drink for 13 Euros which is very cheap in Barcelona. In fact, the average price for a meal in a restaurant in las ramblas we could see was between 20 and 25 Euros so restaurants like the bangladeshi one could cost less for a best quality of meat. The plate consisted of rice, fried potatoes, salad and big fish. The festive atmosphere by night in Barcelona was really so much admirable and I could walk long distances at night without tiredness, the city is so rich and its discovery was one of the best adventures I ever had in my life.
Travel to Barcelona to taste a new quality of life where people live lightly without the burden of the usualy days, the city really gives always a festive atmosphere and it allowed me to learn much about its hitorical and cultural characteristics. The view by night and the walking by night also offers the best view of the port and can make you feel in a strange feeling of delight, joy and establish a great atmosphere of love and romatisme. The sport also is one of my main reasons why i chose Barcelona as a destination to visit because i like football and like to see the best players perform and show their best skills in the field. The city offers many treasures to people to discover and it can be my next destination for the future as i dont feel that i already explored all its amazing monuments and wonderful aspects yet. Travels really allowed me to discover both the cultural and the culinary characteristics of this city and i hope many people go also to visit it to enjoy a spiritual richness.
