What is it like to live in Banska Bystrica? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Banská Bystrica is a beautiful quiet city with really nice landscape. It´s just 30 minutes by bus from ski center Donovaly in Low Tarta and 3 hours from Bratislava by train or bus(direct link). Our country have beautiful mounties, caves, castles and Banská Bystrica is in ideal center of everything.

What is the student lifestyle like in Banska Bystrica?

So, Banská Bystica have a solid network of students pubs and dance clubs, for example Ministry of fun. It´s a cheap for students too, so I don´t see any problems. This city have a Museum of SNP, galeries, shopping centre, good restaurations, state opera, theatres and I don´t know what else so you can visit different places and meet different people.

How much does it cost to live in Banska Bystrica?

I think no, but I have a accommodation on collage and I pay 50 euros for a month...But if you wanna flat or house accommodation it will be more expensive.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Banska Bystrica? Is there any advice you can give?

No it´s good. Universities in Banská Bystirca Academy of Arts and UMB) have a collage and if you are from other country you can give a request for university accommodation. There is no problem.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

A Food? Food is good I think, we have a lot of restaurations from differents parts of world so I think you can choose what you like.

What places would you recommend visiting in Banska Bystrica?

Like I said this city have a Museum of SNP, galeries, shopping centre, good restaurations, state opera, theatres.
