How do you find living in Badajoz? Do you recommend it? How is it?

Badajoz is a medium sized city and very comfortable to live in. There are no long distances, the transport works well, more or less and there are enough leisure options on offer.

It has a pretty old part and the Alcazaba gardens are a good place to spend the afternoon in spring and autumn.

How is student life in Badajoz?

The Badajoz campus isn't very big but you can find University parties on, from Thursday to Saturday in any place and even on Wednesdays, if you know where to go.

How much does it cost to live in Badajoz?

It's not an expensive city. A room in a flat is around €150-170.

How is the country's food? What are your favourite dishes?

You can find any type of food in Badajoz: Kebabs, pizzerias, montaditos (small sandwiches), Italian food, heaps of tapas bars, traditional restaurants, Portuguese food... There is even a sushi bar.

Which places do you recommend to visit in Badajoz?

I recommend visiting the old part of the city, the Plaza Alta, the Citadel, the Espantaperros tower.

It's also pretty to wander around the banks of the Guadiana.

And to eat in Badajoz? Can you name your favourite places?

I really like Los 100 Montaditos, 100 Bocapizza and kebabs to eat cheaply with friends.

If you aren't bothered about spending more money, there are bars and restaurants in the central area with tapas and delicious dishes.

Which places do you recommend to go out to party in Badajoz?

I recommend the clubs in the central area and the many little bars that there are. You can find anything. You can find them in any area.

Any advice that you'd like to give to future students in Badajoz?

Enjoy the city and its people. Mix with the people from Badajoz. They will know what the best plans are, according to the day.
