Experience in Badajoz, Spain by Almudena
What do you think about living in Badajoz? Do you recommend it? How is it?
Badajoz seems like an interesting city to me where I would recommend to live in. I'd recommend it for several reasons, however, the most important thing especially for students is that it's a cheap city, you can use public transport to go to University and to travel around the city, renting prices are really affordable, and there are a lot of parties organised.
How is the student atmosphere in Badajoz?
Very good, people are very kind.
How much does it cost to live in Badajoz?
Around 150€-170€.
Was it difficult to find accommodation in Badajoz? Can you give us any advice?
It wasn't very difficult to find a flat because you can check them out on the Internet, besides at the University you can normally find posters with lots of renting offers.
What about national food? What are your favourite dishes?
Food is more or less the same as in the rest of Spain, but here in Extremadura you can find Iberian ham, chorizo, etc., which are typical and favourite dishes according to the visitors.
What places do you recommend to visit in Badajoz?
La Alcazaba and Plaza Alta are one of my favourite places, above all during Spring and Summer.
What places do you recommend to go out in Badajoz?
I recommend the city centre of Badajoz.
