What is the student lifestyle like in Badajoz?

Very free and very cool; )

Would you recommend the city and the University of Badajoz to other students?

It's a great place to enjoy the youth.

What is the food like?

Brilliant.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Badajoz?

No.

How much does it cost to live in Badajoz?

200 euros a month for the flat:

+ food

+ fun

+ travel :)

Depends on every one.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

There are courses but the language is easy to learn once you WANT to learn it and once you LISTEN to the native speakers. If you know something in one month you won't have problems, and if you know nothing of Spanish you might take 1-2 month to understand and 2-4 months to speak; ) (I mean to be able to express almost everything and that more or less correctly. )

But you must want and spend some time on it, sure. I really recommend it as Spanish became to me the most comfortable language I've got to known so far, even more comfortable, satisfying and enjoyable than my mother tongue! (Czech)

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Badajoz?

  • The street of Mercantil, damn what was the name... ^^
  • Chat Noir
  • Koala
  • Los Estupendos, that bars around La Esponja, very nice places to have a beer or Tinto de Verano with the free tapas they'll give you

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Badajoz?

  • Los 100 montaditos
  • Whatever "Bocatería"
  • Almost every bar serves you great tapas, I used to visit a lot one small bar called Manolo, in the Casco antiguo, best tapas indeed I swear! :)

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Many...
