To Paris by car and even more exams..
Being a good student
After my first exam in France there was not much time to relax because only 2 weeks later there would be the next one. It was the other lecture I had on Monday, so after March I would never need to go to university on a Monday.
But before I had to study for the other exam which was not that easy, because the professor didn't tell us so much about how it would look like. But at least we would be allowed to take a dictionary with us, too. The last lecture was only half an hour because we had already finished all the themes the professor wanted to do with us and we could go home earlier. I went to the library and looked for some books I could use to study for the exam but I didn't find anything, so I took the bus home to the residency.
I was not quite motivated but I had to do so many things for different lectures, so I passed the whole afternoon studying (which includes the word DYING). After having finished almost everything for the next day, I went to the city centre to do some sports with my friend and afterwards we went to have something to eat. I enjoyed more and more to pass time with him because we could talk about everything and it was very interesting to get to know another culture, to practise my French and to discover his points of view. Furthermore, I am not the kind of "group-friendship"-person, so I prefer having some very good friends before having 50 friends. And it was nice to have someone to have lunch or dinner with from time to time or to do sports or have a coffee.
Is he really just a friend?
As he is not from France originally, he told me that he would go and visit his family in Algeria soon and asked me (as kind of joke) if I could take him to the airport in Paris, because he didn't want to go by train with all the luggage. He was quite surprised when I asked "Okay, when? " and he told me that it was just a joke and he didn't want to bother me. But I told him that for me it was okay to take him to the airport and that I would really do it if he wanted. So he agreed and was still fascinated why I would do that.
My laptop died one day after we talked about that and he told me that he could have a look at it. Until that day I avoided to get into his appartment because I wasn't quite sure about his opinion about me and how seriously he took that I had a boyfriend actually. But I wanted to have my laptop fixed so we met next to university and went to his flat. He examined my laptop and told me what was wrong - I had to buy a new ventilator. After we had had some food he tried to kiss me what really, really confused me and I just told him that I would go home now (and that I had a boyfriend but he didn't care obviously).
Emotional Confusion starts..
That was the evening when all my hope that it was possible to be just friends with a man died. But I didn't want to loose him and so I just didn't care about that attempt and hoped that he would not try to do it again. So the Saturday of that week I would take him to the airport after we went shopping on friday to buy things for his family (worse than a woman during shopping). We started at 8am and were both quite tired. But I like driving and I've never been to Paris by car because usually people tell you not to do it. I was a bit excited but also sad, because I wouldn't be able to communicate with him for the next 10 days. But the drive was nice, we talked a lot as always and he laughed about how I was driving.
After 1, 5 hours we arrived at Paris Orly and had to say goodbye. He insisted to try to kiss me, so I let him. I knew that I had already taken a small decision but I didn't want to think about that. I had a boyfriend and was not the person that did things like that, normally..
So I went back to Amiens alone and thought about many things. My boyfriend called me several times because he was so jealous since he had visited me, but I was driving, so I couldn't answer. When I came home I ate something and started to study in order to forget about those confusing feelings (and of course to have a good grade in the exam the week after that).
