Experience in Almada, Portugal by Maria
What is it like to live in Almada? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Living in Almada is a great experience. The city has two main features: the old town and the newest part of it, which makes it quite charming. You have in Almada the best view you could dream of Lisboa (Lisbon), some old architecture, and at the same time a new town where you can skate, run and shop. Restaurants serve fresh fish and the people are very nice.
What is the student lifestyle like in Almada?
It is calm, although there are some bars and nightlife. Main interest for a student: proximity with the FCT-Universidade Nova (Monte da Caparica); 10 minutes to Lisbon, by boat (and you can take your bike for free) crossing the river Tejo or train (under the bridge).
