Why did you choose to go to Almada, Portugal?

I choose to go to Lisbon, and then I found out that my faculty (fct unl) was in Caparica..

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It's 6 months and I receive 230€ per month

What is the student lifestyle like in Almada?

We live in the campus residence in which about 200 students live and there are about 30 erasmus students. Usually we go to classes during the day and then we stay together in the night cooking, drinking, going to some parties in the campus and going to party in lisbon in the weekend

Would you recommend the city and the University of Almada to other students?

No..

What is the food like?

Portuguese food

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Almada?

No it was easy.

How much does it cost to live in Almada?

The private room in the residence is 195€

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Portuguese is quite easy to learn for me. There are language courses avaliable but not in my faculty.. I've to go to lisbon..

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Almada from your city?

Plane

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Almada?

I'd recommend to go to lisbon.. but if you have to stay in almada there is Divina, the only club in almada

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Almada?

Yes, there is Farol in cacilhas

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Cristo Rei, casa da cerca, fragata

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Almada in the future?

If you are going to study in Fct - unl i advice you to live in the campus residence ;)
