What is it like to live in Aalborg? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Aalborg is a really cool city for students - i moved from Aarhus and actually like Aalborg more student wise. Aalborg is smaller than Aarhus so it makes getting around super easy and fast - almost no need for public transport unless you drink really so just get a bike and get going! I would definitely recommend going and staying in Aalborg to everyone. Aalborg does a lot for students and it is the whole package - loads of flats at an affordable price(no rip offs really), lots of places to eat out that are student friendly and the same goes for nightlife. Aalborg is almost places at the very top of Denmark which makes day trips to beach or into the nature excellent though i recommend getting a car(most Danes have cars so just befriend some). Denmark is getting narrower the more North you go so it is easy getting to both coasts on one day. If you drive about two hours straight north you will end up in Skagen which is the most northern town in Denmark and it is simply amazing - for sure a most if you to Aalborg. From Skagen you go to the very tip of Denmark and put your legs in two oceans - the Kattegat and the Northern Sea.

What is the student lifestyle like in Aalborg?

The student lifestyle is really good in Aalborg and when i first moved there i did not see many elders as the city is packed with students. When the sun comes out all students do so too and they fill up on the harbor where the fjord comes in.

How much does it cost to live in Aalborg?

It is one of the cheaper bigger cities. So cheaper than both Aarhus and Copenhagen allround but also smaller than both. Being smaller also means there is less things to do but no one can really afford doing new activities everyday so i find it quite balanced - of course sometimes i miss the possibilities in the bigger cities but then i go there for a weekend and get my ''hit''.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Aalborg? Is there any advice you can give?

Nope it is quite easy i would say and it is not that hard to find a big place for a good price! Aalborg is also building a lot of new flat buildings so chances of getting a totally fresh flat is high! Student flats in Denmark are 98% time 50 square feet so it is nice for single or couple - some are made possible to share with a friend.
