What is it like to live in Venice? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Venice is a city that cannot be compared with other cities, because it is unique, both positively and negatively. What I'm saying is that it is a city that you cannot be indifferent, or you like or you do not.

I can say firsthand that the first two years of living in Venice I did not like, but then I began to live it the right way, and are have been three years that can not be forgotten.

What is the student lifestyle like in Venice?

Although it is not a city extremely explosive night, how can it be Milan or Padua and Trieste; if you can make friends, you can be sure that you will enjoy the night as much as any other city. Usually, in the early evening, you can find somewhere to drink in a Bacaro (traditional little bar), and then from there the opportunities are different, all together is going to someone house to have party, or walk around the city, discovering locals never seen before and hidden areas.

How much does it cost to live in Venice?

Of course, the city is a little more expensive than average, but not as much as London. Knowing the right places though, you can eat and drink at affordable prices.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Venice? Is there any advice you can give?

It is not difficult to find accommodation in Venice, no more than any other city, though slightly expensive, whether you want to stay in a hotel or in an apartment.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

I'm not a regular customer of restaurants, but I very much appreciate the appetizers that are found in Bacaro. Small samples that allow you to try many flavors of Venice.

What places would you recommend visiting in Venice?

Avoiding the usual touristic places, you should really visit the Quartiere ebraico, l'Arsenale, le Gallerie dell'Accademia, and go to Punta della Dogana in the evening to enjoy the sight from there.

What advice would you give future students heading to Venice?

I tell you, if you do not like the city does not demoralize you immediately: go out! Turn it over! Meet people! And you'll see that you will appreciate it.
