What is it like to live in Tarragona? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Tarragona is an amazing city. It is not a big city but it's really quiet and very nice, close to the sea and is beautiful.

What is the student lifestyle like in Tarragona?

It is a cheap city, the floors are well priced, the food is cheap and you can also leave class and go see the sea, the beach or take a walk through the old town.

How much does it cost to live in Tarragona?

A room in a shared apartment can cost 200 euros. If you want an apartment just for you, you can find from 400 euros (only the floor). It really is not an expensive city.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Tarragona? Is there any advice you can give?

It is not hard to find accommodation, you can find it on social media, the URV (Universidad Rovira i Virgili​) has a page where available apartments are published.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The Mediterranean diet is very good. The food is tasty and you can always buy your own food in supermarkets, food prices are good.

What places would you recommend visiting in Tarragona?

The old town, the Devil's Bridge, Montserrat, beaches as Arrabasada, Playa Larga and Waikiki.

Is it good to eat out in Tarragona? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, it is good to eat out, the food is inexpensive, menus typically cost between 7 and 13 euros. There is also a place called El Andaluz which is very cheap and the food is tasty.

Is the nightlife good in Tarragona? Where is good to go?

Not many clubs, bars are where you can go out for drinks. City people often go dancing at Totem, El Cau or Les Golfes. The big clubs are in Salou, a nearby town.

What advice would you give future students heading to Tarragona?

Do not worry because Tarragona is a very nice, very quiet and pleasant place to live.
